Permanent Roofline Lighting in Menands, Explained Plainly

We install permanent lighting along your roofline: low-profile LED track that stays up year-round, blends in by day and runs from an app on your phone. Holidays, game nights or plain warm white for every evening. We work in Menands, Albany, Troy and the towns around them.

  • No-cost measure and quote
  • Itemized written quote
  • App set up before we leave
  • Straight answers, no pressure

What We Install

Our work is permanent exterior lighting installation. A slim aluminum channel runs along the underside of your roof edge, and small LED nodes snap into it at even spacing. A compact controller ties the whole run to an app, so your phone becomes the switch. The channel is color-matched to your trim, so most people walking by in daylight never notice it. After dark, you pick the colors, the patterns and the schedule.

  • Gray permanent LED light track with small round lights mounted along a white fascia beneath a gutter, above vented soffit panels and a window.

    Permanent Lighting

LED lights mounted in a low-profile track along your roofline, controlled from your phone and left up all year for holidays, game nights and everyday curb appeal.

  • Worker in navy sweatshirt and tan pants spraying cleaning solution on algae-streaked beige vinyl siding, with a tank-and-pump sprayer rig on a trailer behind him

    Exterior Soft Wash

A low-pressure wash with a cleaning mix that kills the green and black growth on siding and trim, so it stays clean longer than a rinse.

  • Before and after: gloved worker on a ladder sprays dark-streaked asphalt shingles from the gutter edge, then the same roof with skylight looks evenly clean

    Roof Treatments

A low-pressure treatment that kills moss, algae and lichen on your shingles, so the growth breaks down and the roof stops holding moisture.

  • Technician on a ladder with standoff arms scooping wet leaves from a gutter on a beige-sided house while a garden hose flushes the downspout

    Gutter Clear-Out

We empty your gutters by hand, run water through every downspout and send photos, so you know the rain is going where it should.

  • Hands holding a strip washer and squeegee while a water-fed pole brush scrubs an upper window on a white vinyl-sided two-story house on an overcast day

    Exterior Glass Care

We clean outside glass, screens, frames and tracks, and we tell you plainly which method fits your windows and what those stubborn white spots really are.

  • Worker in jeans and work boots running a round surface cleaner across a stained concrete walkway, leaving a clean stripe beside a lawn and front steps

    Concrete and Paver Cleaning

We clean concrete, pavers and stone with a spinning flat cleaner so walks and patios dry one even color, and we tell you which stains will lift.

How a Job Runs

Most installs take one day. Here is the order of things.

  1. 1

    Start with a free quote

Give us a rough idea of the size of the house and which sides you would like lit. We pick a day that suits you and stop by to measure.

  2. 2

    We measure and talk options

We walk the roofline, check the fascia and find the power source. Then we explain spacing, colors and zones in plain terms and send a written quote.

  3. 3

    Install day

We mount the color-matched track, set the lights, run the wire to the controller and test every section. Ladders go on stable ground, away from shrubs.

  4. 4

    App setup and walkthrough

We connect the system to your phone, build a nightly schedule with you and save a few holiday looks. Then we clean up and you flip it on that night.

A Small Local Crew

We are a small lighting company working out of Menands. Our whole job is putting permanent lights on houses and making sure the people who live there understand what they got.

Capital Region winters are hard on hanging lights. Clips snap in the cold and ladders on icy ground are no fun. Permanent lighting means you set it up once and stop climbing every December. That is the main reason people call us, and we try to make the decision easy by explaining it straight.

Why Neighbors Call Us

Most people have never bought permanent lighting before. We explain every option in everyday words, then let you decide.

We explain before we sell

We will tell you what a controller does, why spacing matters and what an extra zone buys you. If a simpler setup fits your house, we say so.

A quote you can read

Your quote lists the linear feet, the number of lights, the controller and any extra work as separate lines. No vague package names.

Careful with your trim

We fasten the track into solid fascia and check for soft or rotted wood first. If we find a problem, we show you before anything gets mounted on it.

You leave knowing the app

Before we pack up, we sit down with you and set a schedule, save a few favorite looks and show you how to change them. You should not need to call us to switch colors.

Clean job site

We pick up clips, wire ends and packaging, and we keep ladders off your plantings. The yard looks the way we found it.

Common Questions

How much does permanent lighting cost?

The length of the run is the biggest driver. Height, the number of peaks and corners, where the nearest outdoor outlet sits and how many zones you want all add to it. After we measure, you get a free written quote showing the actual number for your house, line by line.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. The lights come with a 10-year product warranty. We go over what it covers when we give you your quote.

Will the track hold up to snow and ice?

The lights sit inside an aluminum channel tucked under the roof edge, out of the way of snow sliding off. They are built to stay outside year-round, so there is nothing to take down in the fall or put back in winter.

Can I see the lights during the day?

Very little. The channel is color-matched to your trim and sits flat under the edge. Most neighbors only notice it once the lights turn on.

Do the lights have to be colors, or can I just use white?

You can run plain warm or cool white every night and save colors for holidays. The app lets you change the look, brightness and schedule whenever you like. Many people keep a soft white on a timer most of the year.

Do you put any holes in my shingles?

No. Every screw goes into the wood trim board just below the roof edge, so the shingles and the gutters are left alone. Before we fasten anything, we press along that board and look for soft spots or loose sections. Anything that seems weak gets pointed out to you on the spot, and nothing is mounted to it until you decide how to handle it.

Where does it plug in?

The controller plugs into an exterior outlet, usually near the garage or a corner of the house. We look for the best spot during the measure. If there is no outlet in a good place, we explain what that means for the job.

What Moves the Price

Permanent lighting is priced mostly by length, with a few things that add time or parts. Here is what we look at when we measure your house. Knowing these ahead helps you compare quotes fairly.

We measure your house, walk you through the options and give you a free written quote. You decide with no pressure and no surprises added later.

Linear feet of roofline
This is the biggest one. A small ranch front and a full wraparound on a two-story house are very different jobs. Some people light only the front first and add the sides later.
Height and pitch
A second or third story takes longer ladder work and more setup. Steep sections and tight spots near porches also add time.
Peaks, corners and gables
Every corner and peak needs the track cut and joined cleanly so the lights line up. A busy roofline with lots of gables takes more labor than a long straight run.
Where the power comes from
The system plugs into an exterior outlet. If there is a good one close to the roofline, wiring is simple. If not, we tell you up front what getting power there involves.
Controllers and zones
One controller can run a whole house. Splitting the front and back into separate zones, or adding a garage, means more hardware.
Condition of the fascia
Solid trim takes the mounting fine. Rotted or loose boards should be fixed first, and we point that out at the measure.
